It's seems like forever since Acacia pulled out of the Old Church Building at 3325 W. Cary St. to move to bigger digs just down the street, but at long last the Carytown location has a new restaurant: 3325 West Café.
The new spot opened just three weeks ago, but it already looks at home, and my guess is, Carytown's going to be happy to have it.
The laid-back café serves up a simple but fresh menu of salads, wraps, cold plates and a smattering of hot sandwiches and specialty pizzas, all priced below $8. The Mediterranean-inspired menu might look familiar to some Richmonders, since restaurant owner William Simon has been in the wrap business for years with his Simon's Café a la Cart downtown lunch cart.

The cafe is the perfect place to grab a casual, patio lunch during a shopping trip and maybe even enjoy a nice glass of wine or cold beer in the process.
Once 3325 West gets their ABC license that is.
They expect to have it this week, but as soon as the ABC is on, the café will expand their hours from lunch Monday through Saturday by adding dinner service Wednesday through Saturday (with a half-price wine night to follow) and add some pasta and meat-based dinner specials, priced at $15 or less.
Best of all though, thanks to a brand new courtyard, the restaurant more than doubled its outdoor seating and plans to host live music on the weekends. Again, they expect to start as early as this week, it's all in ABC's hands now.
