In perhaps the best dining news for Fan rats ever, Sticky Togogo has just started delivery service to the Fan, Museum District and Oregon Hill – so you no longer have to drive to Strawberry and Main to get your fix of sushi and tater tots.

According to the Twitterverse, and the restaurant’s website, Ipanema Grill in Glen Allen is closed. A posting on the website says, "It's with the greatest regret that we inform you that we are closing our doors. Due to conflicts with the landlord we were not able to renew our lease."

Stuzzi is now open for brunch on Saturday and Sunday.

And speaking of pizza, South Richmond / Westover Hills / Forest Hill / Woodland Heights is about to get some more of it. An old Mercedes dealership on Forest Hill Avenue is under construction and will reopen as an eat-in / take-out / delivery restaurant serving pizza, subs, salads and ice cream.

The restaurant will primarily be for takeout, but owner Redwan Saif says there will be a few seats inside; he’s hoping for a late October opening. He’s also hoping to have settled on a name before then.

And Parkside Café, just down the road from Mercedes Pizza (my suggestion, in no way connected to the actual pizza place in the works), is still under construction, but co-owner Travis Milton is saying an opening could be 6 to 8 weeks away. I don’t know about other Southsiders, but that sounds like a verbal contract to me. I say we hold him to it.

It might seem like the summer has flown by but we still have a few days of August left, which means you still have a chance to "Dine Like Its 1989" at The Dining Room At The Berkeley Hotel.

Every year in honor of the restaurant’s anniversary, the menu prices return to the way they were in 1989 – and the special last until the end of August.

Finally, I got a peek at the new Stronghill Dining Company menu, and it looks good. Small plates like: Fried or Sautéed Calamari ($9); Lobster Roll ($12); Veal Meatballs ($7); Foccacia Pizza Du Jour ($10); Guinness Barbeque Baby Back Ribs ($8); sandwiches: Mint Pesto Lamb Wrap ($9); Seasonal Fish Tacos ($12); and much, much more.
