Here are some quick, early-week restaurant highlights.
It’s Monday, and we’re all just waking up, so let’s go through some quick and dirty highlights of what’s happening in RVA dining.
Dd33 Asian Bistro has reopened as The Patio. It’s the same location you’ve always loved, just now with an American menu of entrees if the $12-$20 range and salads, sandwiches and starters for under $10. It’s open daily for lunch, dinner and late-night cocktails.
Fish Bowl Bistro & Bar, the place going in the former Relish spot in Shockoe Slip, has announced a grand opening date of September 3.
Parkside Café, the restaurant going in by Crossroads Coffee & Ice Cream, where Seven Hills Market used to be, won’t speculate on an opening date. They’ve done so twice and be wrong, but things are progressing and I, for one, have my fingers’ crossed for summer.
Sadly Shackleford's has shut down both its Williamsburg and Midlothian locations, but the West End remains open.
And, according to the rumor mill, a new restaurant is going the space at 821 W. Cary St. The space that 821 Café occupied before it moved to 825 a few months ago.
Also now open, as if you could forget:
We’ll dish more later in the week.
