Heather Martin Heather L. Martin has joined McGuireWoods Consulting 's Richmond office as vice president of the firm's Grassroots Issues Management group. She will assist clients with strategic planning, message development, issue campaigns, coalition building and grassroots initiatives. Martin has worked for more than 20 years in management, grassroots organizing, message development and fundraising for elected officials and candidates. Prior to joining McGuireWoods Consulting, she served most recently as the Chief of Staff for Franklin P. Hall in the Virginia House of Delegates.

Courtney Wilson Courtney J. Wilson has been hired as a project administrator in the Hampton Roads office of Draper Aden Associates . Wilson will help facilitate project scheduling, budgeting and planning for the company, which also has offices in Blacksburg, Charlottesville and Richmond. Her responsibilities will also include business development and marketing efforts.
Joey Robinson Clough Harbour & Associates LLP announced the addition of Joey Robinson as a senior planner/project manager with the firm's sports division. He was previously employed by Carns Construction of Midlothian and Timmons Group of Richmond. In his new position, Robinson will be responsible for the planning and design of sports venues and recreation complexes on behalf of some of the firm's most valued municipal, collegiate and professional clients.

He is PMP certified and brings 12 years project management experience to World Access. Jill McAuliffe was recently hired as territory specialist for the company's south and Virginia regions. Todd Weimer Davalen , an IT solutions provider with a focus on eCommerce, recently announced that Todd Weimer has been promoted to Microsoft practice manager. In this role, Weimer will be responsible for the line of business that delivers business solutions built on Microsoft software. After graduating from the College of William and Mary, Weimer worked as a software developer for Centra Health before joining the Davalen team in 2000. Over the past seven years, Weimer has consulted for several large companies providing custom development services for complex system integration projects.

D. Cabell Vest D. Cabell Vest has joined Troutman Sanders LLP as an associate to its retail properties practice group in Richmond. Vest comes to Troutman Sanders from the law firm of Woods Rogers PLC in Roanoke where he was an associate from 2005 to 2007. During his tenure at Woods Rogers, Vest conducted commercial real estate closings and structured like-kind exchanges. He also worked on various business matters, including due diligence, contract and loan closings, condominiums and associations, and lease of air rights. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Vest served as a land use planner for McGuireWoods, LLP in McLean and held positions at the University of Virginia Alumni Association and Miller Center of Public Affairs.

Massey Energy Company announced that Daniel S. Loeb and Todd Q. Swanson of Third Point, LLC have resigned from Massey's Board of Directors effective as of June 13. Loeb and Swanson announced their resignation in a letter addressed to Don L. Blankenship, Massey's chairman and CEO. A copy of this letter has been filed by the company with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Massey Energy Company, headquartered in Richmond, has operations in West Virginia, Kentucky and Virginia and is the fourth largest coal producer by revenue in the United States. Owens & Minor announced the appointment of James L. Bierman as Chief Financial Officer effective June 13. Bierman previously served as Chief Financial Officer for Quintiles Transnational Corporation, a provider of product development and commercial solutions for the pharmaceutical, biotech and medical-device industries. His experience also includes 22 years with Arthur Anderson, where he worked primarily in the areas of healthcare and financial markets. United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS), the Richmond-based, non-profit organization that operates the nation's Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN), under contract with the federal government, recently announced the following new employees:Nell Aronoff is a review board coordinator. She came to UNOS after graduating from the University of Rochester with a Bachelor of Arts in political science.
Heather Bowman is an assistant membership coordinator. Previously she was a legal analyst at BrownGreer, PLC.
Sheila Foster is a membership data coordinator. She came to UNOS from the Madison County Department of Health where she was a health educator.
Cristin Harrington is a data operations specialist. She returns to UNOS after serving as an intake coordinator for Home Care Delivered.
Andrea McLester is a business systems analyst. Previously was a senior consultant with Kadix Systems.
Twyla Shaw is an allocation analyst. She had been a healthcare administrator for the United States Army.

Ronald Lambert , Susan Milstead and Susan Vecchione have joined UNOS as site surveyors for the organization's department of quality and evaluation. Lambert comes to UNOS from Henrico Doctors Hospital where he served as a cardiac surgery transplant nurse. Milstead comes from Health Management Corp., a division of WellPoint Health Network Inc. where she had been a nurse consultant. Vecchione was previously a claims medical specialist with Nationwide Insurance.
Carly Engelberger and Cathy Short have joined as technology implementation coordinators. Engelberger comes to UNOS from AMSEC LLC where she was a technical writer. Short was a project coordinator for key personnel based at Philip Morris.
Leena Jose and Swathi Nandi have been hired as technology quality assurance specialists. Jose was a quality assurance tester for Ramanand Multimedia Systems in India and Nandi returns to Richmond and UNOS after serving as a quality assurance analyst at FNC, a financial company in Oxford, Miss.
