Week of Fortune
Sagittarius -- November 22 to December 21
What do you do when faced with an ethical dilemma? You start thinking. Way. Too. Much. In essence, most things in life are pretty simple. You just have to learn how to ask the right questions. Does this (whatever it is) cause harm to anyone else? A good place to start.
Capricorn -- December 22 to January 1
You were never good with words. They give you the fantods. You don't read. You were always socially awkward, never knew what to say or how to say it. You don't read. You tend to avoid conversations that deal with art or abstract intellectual concepts. You don't read. You are lonely, yet you don't read. Are you getting this?
Aquarius -- January 20 to February 18
"The absence of a plan is itself a plan." This spoken by Dada theorist/poet Tristan Tzara (Capricorn are you paying attention?) and it sums up your course of action for the next week. Don't stay focused, don't keep lists, don't jump the shark, don't consult electronic scheduling devices, don't answer the phone if you don't want. Just be, maybe a fish or a bicycle.
Pisces -- February 19 to March 20
You long for the sea. The salt in the sea makes you long for purity. Purity makes you long for clarity. Clarity is something neither the sea, nor salt, nor purity can provide. You long for the sea.
Aries -- March 21 to April 19
Dilemma: do you tell another person the truth at the risk of hurting their feelings? Or do you spare their feelings (so you hope) by compromising on the truth? Is there such a thing as Truth? And who decides? How do you know telling the truth would really hurt their feelings until you told it? Remember, there really is no such thing as a "half-truth." You are either in or you're out.
Taurus -- April 20 to May 20
Did you do it? Should you have? Does it burn? Is it cold? Was it good for you? "Listen and understand, it is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a person, but it is what comes out of the mouth that defiles."
Gemini -- May 21 to June 21
Simplicity is a concept few of us fully understand. The essence of simplicity is exclusion, what to leave out. Too much exclusion leads to nullity, the void, metaphorically speaking a bunch of nothing. So, the essence of simplicity is really balance, harmony. Complex isn't it?
Cancer -- June 22 to July 22
You won't find the stars up in arms about human ambitions. The world does not depend on mankind for its meaning, no matter what religions say about the matter. Robinson Jeffers: "No matter what happens to men, the world's well made though." Maybe we should take better care of it.
Leo -- July 23 to August 22
You are used to getting your way, proud Leo. Usually, this is accomplished by bullying people, gently or brutishly is simply a matter of temperament. Try this: think up a dream, be it divine or loathsome and then insist on dreaming it. Bully your sub-conscious if you must, because those skills need to put to a better use.
Virgo -- August 23 to September 22
"It's your misfortune and none of my own," goes the drover's lament. True in most respects. But a burden shared is burden lightened. Since you had to look up the word 'drover' do you really think you should listen to one?
Libra -- September 23 to October 22
In olden days, doctors could make diagnoses based on the smell and taste of a patient's urine, or by the color and consistency of their stool. You may be good at something in this world; you may even be an expert of some kind. But tell me, are you devoted enough to taste urine in the service of your expertise? The anvil chorus is denouncing your lack of faith.
Scorpio -- October 23 to November 21
It is estimated that the English language will very soon contain one million words. Yet you find yourself saying the same old things, even when you don't really mean them. How many times a day do you say "Sorry" without meaning it? There are nine hundred ninety nine thousand, nine hundred and ninety nine other words to use. Get busy.
