Want to be green and fashionable at the same time? Not a problem. Eco-friendly clothing has become more available over the past few years and is even appearing on runways. So, when I say eco-friendly clothing I don't mean burlap bags and grass skirts.
In fact, eco-friendly clothing doesn't necessarily have to be made out of hemp. It is understood by most that environmental attributes of eco-friendly clothing are known to be the following:

Now you're probably wondering what some of these so-called fashionable items look like. Well, I assure you that once you take a look at some of these great wardrobe choices you will be more open and willing to turn your wardrobe green!

Eurotrash Covet and Kersh are two eco-friendly designers that can be found at Eurotrash located in Carytown. Covet is known for using natural fibers such as organic cotton and bamboo. Covet offers a variety of fashion items like this Bamboo Jersey Twisted Back Top , Tencell Buttonless Cardigan and Stretch Cotton High Rise Skirt .
Kersh also like Covet offers fashion items made from bamboo. For those of you who don't know, fabric made from bamboo is softer than cotton with a texture similar to silk, much like the One Shoulder Ruffle Dress from Kersh.

Fashion Philanthropy located in Richmond offers fashion designs from various designers. All of the designers featured at Fashion Philanthropy are charitable, socially responsible and/or eco-friendly. The store also donates 10 percent of your proceeds to a charity of your choice!

Fashion Ethic offers apparel and gifts that are either organic, recycled, repurposed and/or made practicing fair labor or trade. I think it's fair to say that this online store has something to offer for everyone. I narrowed down my must haves to two eco-friendly fashion choices.
