Here’s the bad news:

No fireworks at the Diamond this year.  No baseball game, no fireworks, no standing in the street in the North side and watching the bright displays light up the sky.

Bummer.

But you can still catch spectacular fireworks at several spots around town, such as the Independence Day Celebration at Dogwood Dell, as well as a few newer sparkly spots in Colonial Heights, Powhatan and Chesterfield

Check out these Fourth of July festivities and get ready to have a booming Fourth of July:

Friday, July 3

Genworth Financial Celebrate Freedom Concert & Fireworks

Get fired-up for the Fourth of July with Genworth Financial’s Celebrate Freedom Concert on Friday, a day before the Fourth.  The Heritage of America Band will perform on Genworth’s front lawn at 6620 W.
