Carbon Leaf, 10th Annual Skalidays Show and Farm Vegas

»  Comments | Post a Comment

It's kind of a slow week in music for RVA, nevertheless, there's always music to be heard. Hear ye, hear ye.

Carbon Leaf should be a good show Saturday night at the National and Balliceaux brings RVA's Amazing Ghost to the back room on Tuesday.

The 10th Annual Skalidays Show gives you a chance to be nice and charitable on Saturday. The event began back in '99 (hence the 10th Annual part) and features Murphy's Kids, Swim Champ!, Among Criminals, The Animal Beat and The Fad. In case you missed Andrew Cothern's Best of Richmond Music 2009, the Animal Beat made that impressive list. Read it here. Proceeds will go to a local Richmond charity. Ho-ho-ho.

Oh, one more thing. Farm Vegas is back in Richmond, having recently wrapped up a tour of the east coast college scene. It's their first time performing here in five months. Plus, they're playing the Camel, which means this will be a much more intimate performance than usual. The show is Dec. 23 (Wednesday).

Venue Links (alpha order):

This selection of shows is purely sort-of up to my personal discretion. If you think I missed a show worth mentioning, please add it in the comments section or email me.
