Ever dreamed of doing improv comedy but don’t have the experience?
No fear, the Richmond Comedy Coalition is here to help.
Beginning May 1, the popular Richmond comedy troupe will offer instructional classes for improvisational comedy to anyone interested.
Two classes will be offered, an introductory level and one for experienced improvisers. Classes will be held at art6.
The classes aim to develop Richmond’s pool of talented improvisers, while introducing a new group of individuals to the art form. Class teachers, who are members of the RCC ensemble, have a large amount of experience performing with Second City, Upright Citizen’s Brigade, ComedySportz and more.
The members of the RCC believe the principles of improv can be applied to business, personal relationships and everyday life. Some benefits include improving public speaking and communication skills, as well as confidence and creativity.
Everyone is encouraged to attend and no prior comedy, theater or improv experience is necessary for the introductory class.
