Rudolph's Death Gets Richmond Some National Press

In the past few months, Richmond has made national headlines for things like a naked man being assaulted outside Starlite, Garth Brooks' Lifetime movie and everything Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli has done while in office.

Now, we can add Rudolph's death to that list.

By now everyone has heard the news, a large balloon of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer was impaled and deflated at last weekend's Dominion Christmas Parade (click here to see the video). It was the pop heard round the world.

In a matter of days our hometown tragedy turned into an international news story. It's even being picked up across the pond in England. Here are some of our favorite mentions:
