Check out more on Tumblr’s new office in Richmon here.

2. Laura Bush
Saturday

Former First Lady Laura Bush visits the Landmark to speak at the Richmond Forum.  She is the first first lady to address the Richmond Forum.  It’s expected that she’ll talk about passions such as education, women’s health and human rights, as well as hopefully her time in the White House.  Tickets run $36 to $70.

3. Snow Days Festival
Saturday

Whether we see any snow this week or not, celebrate snow days at the Children’s Museum with the Snow Days Festival. Watch the crowning of the Snow Queen, create wintery art projects, snack on special treats, enjoy a visit with Frosty the Snowman, and more.

4. Virginia Home & Garden Show
Friday through Sunday

Hard to believe, but spring really is around the corner. Get ready with the Virginia Home & Garden Show at the Meadow Event Park in Doswell.  You’ll find landscapers, top decorators, the latest in kitchen designs, new windows and more. Special guests include Andre Viette, horticulturist, author and lecturer, and Don Engebretson, "The Renegade Gardener," a field editor, writer, and garden scout for Better Homes and Gardens magazine.

5. Party in the Park
Saturday

Did you know Monroe Park is the oldest park in the city? Head over to Monroe Park to celebrate the life of park and learn more about the Monroe Park Campain, a campaign to keep the park open during proposed renovations.

This Saturday’s festival is for the whole family, Richmond residents, music lovers and more. You’ll see larger-than-life puppets from All the Saints Theater Company, music on three stages from NO BS Brass Band, Gull, Lobo Marino, Better Not Makeouts and more.

Plus free food from Café Gutenberg, warm drinks from the Lamplighter and face painting. Best of all, everything at this eclectic fest is free – even clothes, toys and books that have been gathered by the Richmond Really Really Free Market.
