Free Organ Concert at the Byrd

What a way to kick off your weekend than with a free concert from the inimitable Mr. Bob Gulledge on the mighty Wurlitzer? Featuring pop and classical selections.

VCU is looking good! Cheer them on this weekend at the CAA.

Kids' Carniball
Saturday

Head to the Children's Museum for the 12th Annual Kids’ Carniball: Destination France. Families can enjoy special activities and entertainment throughout the day. Activities include French themed art projects, face painting, balloon give-aways, and more.

Kite Festival at Dorey Park
Saturday
Enjoy kite flying and demonstrations, exhibits, and contests and games at Dorey Park. Family entertainment from Henrico County Public Schools and local band Sky Run. Bring your own kite and let it soar. Or just show up and watch the aerodynamics. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free. Rain date: Sunday, March 4. 
Update: The festival has been postponed to Sunday, March 4 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Just what does a "freestyle" beard look like? You'll have to show up to see. Judges include Gwar lead singer Dave Brockie, Richmond radio's Melissa Chase, Legendary Wrestling referee Dave Hebner and more. There will also be music from The Grotto Dancers and Billy the Kid & the Southside Boys. Also serving as a food drive for the Central Virginia Food Bank. Get a raffle ticket for every can of food you bring. And if you're planning on attending, check out the pre-party the night before at Station 2. $5 for spectators, $10 for competitors.
