Bands For Dominion Riverrock Announced

Richmond Sports Backers and Venture Richmond have announced the featured music acts for this year’s Dominion Riverrock festival which will be held on Brown’s Island May 18-20. See the full list with times.

On Friday, May 18 The Travelin’ McCourys featuring Keller Williams will perform. And on Saturday, May 19, Galactic will perform as the headlining act and JJ Grey and Mofro have been added to the lineup. All concerts are free and open to the public.

Fredericksburg native acoustic soloist Keller Williams is taking the stage with Travelin’ McCourys on Friday night at 9 p.m. immediately following performances by local Richmond opening acts, according to the Sports Backers. Brought together by equal parts mutual admiration and the desire to change the musical landscape while staying true to their roots, The Travelin’ McCourys and Keller Williams are a perfect -- albeit unexpected -- fit. It’s a perfect marriage of instrumental virtuosos, memorable songwriting, infectious musical camaraderie, and undeniable energy.

On Saturday night, New Orleans-based GALACTIC is set to wrap-up Dominion Riverrock with a performance at 9 p.m. The stable quintet plays together with high musicianship, emulating the funky sounds of the streets of New Orleans.

The three-day festival celebrates Richmond’s vibrant and active river life with a series of sporting events – trail running, bouldering, mountain biking, kayaking, stand up paddleboarding, freestyle biking and ultimate air dogs –with highly anticipated musical performances from national and regional acts, food vendors, exhibits and much more.
