Mint New Casual Cuisine - how does that restaurant name strike you?

According to the Richmond restaurant rumor mill, it might well be the name of Amy Cabaniss’ newest restaurant.

It’s no secret that the Julep's New Southern Cuisine owner has had plans for a second restaurant (called Mint New Casual Cuisine) in the back of her mind for years, but now rumors are swirling that she might well have found the right location.

Where?

Well, nothing is confirmed, and nothing is signed, but the same rumor mill is saying it could be in the old Davis & Main at 2501 W. Main St.

Take a minute and let that sink in – a Julep’s, bar and all, on the corner of Davis & Main in the Fan District.

I think I speak for all of Richmond when I say, we accept.

I’ll let you know as soon as I have confirmation on these vicious rumors, and/or if there’s anything Richmond diners can do to make it a reality, but in the meantime, you can head down to Julep’s for Sampling Shockoe next week and try what we might be tasting in the Fan in the future.
