The next Evening at Morton’s: An Online Community Conversation is less than a week away and this is the one we’ve all been waiting for: Richmond Food Culture.

Some of the hippest names in Richmond restaurants and food writing will be dining and chatting on Tuesday, Oct. 19, tackling any and all questions related to Richmond Food Culture.

As always, John Sarvay (@sarvay), founder of Floricane, will moderate the discussion and Richmonders are encouraged to participate by submitting questions for the panel in advance and following the conversation online via blog here or using the Twitter hashtag #steakchatRVA.

The Hodges Partnership’s Tony Scida (@tonyskyday) will be live blogging the conversation, which if you followed us last month you know is a good thing. Tony was out in August, and let’s just say he was missed. So was half of the conversation. Richmond.com will be throwing out the tweets @richmonddotcom.

You can ask questions during the live conversation via blog or Twitter, or submit them in advance in the comments section of this article or via email at content@richmond.com. We want you, Richmond, to help steer the conversation, so ask your questions, we want to cover it all – the role of food writing and bloggers, the diversity of restaurants on the scene, chains vs. dining local, service, dining etiquette and, of course, food.

Check out the awesome panel for the Richmond Food Culture online conversation:

  • Brandon Fox (@bpfox), Richmond Magazine Dining Columnist & RHome Managing Editor

  • Andy Howell, Cafe Rustica owner and chef

  • Nathan Hughes (@rvabusiness) Bandazian & Holden VP & Sales Manager

  • Karri Peifer (@KarriPeifer), Richmond.com food writer & editor

Evening at Morton’s: An Online Community Conversation is hosted by Morton’s the Steakhouse in partnership with Hodges Partnership and Richmond.com. The Richmond Food Culture discussion starts at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 19. Click here to find the live blog and to sign up for an email reminder about the discussion.
