If there’s one thing that Richmonders know how to do well, it’s taking delight in the macabre. This coming Monday marks the 6th annual Oregon Hill Halloween parade. Organized by the All The Saints Theater Company, the parade is a chance for all Richmonders to dress up in costume and take part in the largest "funeral march" in the VCU area. The parade starts at Monroe Park at 7pm on Halloween.
The NoBS Brass Band—a Richmond-based band—will be leading the parade, with its funk and jazz inspired beats and danceable arrangements. This local band transforms the spirit of New Orleans into an original East Coast modern funk sound. NoBS Brass band will be leading the parade, which is open to all members of the community who are dressed in costume.
Richmonders have historically outdone themselves when it comes to Halloween costumes at the Oregon Hill Halloween Parade. This year, you’ll be guaranteed to see a wide variety of elaborate Halloween get-ups, from Zombies and Vampires to Sponge Bog Squarepants and even some Disney characters. If you want the opportunity to show off your most creative ensemble and see some truly outrageous costumes in our community, don’t miss this once-a-year parade.
With so many events this Halloween-weekend, don’t miss out on a chance to take part in Richmond’s annual Halloween parade in Oregon Hill.
