Northsiders turn Bryan Park's frisbee golf course into a huge sledding spot at Hermitage Road and Lakeside.

There's a big hill down the back of Hollywood Cemetery that locals often sled down in winter. It overlooks the river and is quite a picturesque spot.

Located behind Ethyl Corporation, Gamble's Hill is a great spot for sledding with a huge sloping hill. Just watch out for the street. Located at corner of 2nd Street and Byrd Street.
Popular Spots Where You Can't Sled:
Sledders, take note: Sledding is no longer allowed at the Country Club of Virginia. The golf course was recently redone and sledding is strictly prohibited.
Also, even though they have a great hill smack dab in downtown Richmond, there is no sledding at the Virginia Capitol. Hit up one of the city parks instead.
Sledding is allowed in all city parks after snowfalls during the winter. City parks include: Libbie Hill Park, Chimbarazo Park, Forest Hill Park, and Bryan Park. City officials warn that sledding on sheets of metal or garbage can lids is dangerous and prohibited. All parks close at dusk and sledding is prohibited after the park closes. Find sledding tips and the full list of city parks on the city's website.
